Paul Huttner is
Chief Meteorologist with Minnesota Public Radio. Paul heads up weather coverage and delivers daily weather perspective and
commentary on KNOW 91.1FM and on Minnesota Public Radio's 37 station network.
Paul was with WCCO-TV in
2006 and 2007. Paul also served as Chief Meteorologist at KGUN9 in Tucson from 1997 through 2005.
Paul was born
and raised in Minnesota, worked at WGN-TV in Chicago where he served as meteorologist for WGN Morning News for two years.
Paul also spent 7 years at WCCO-TV in the Twin Cities as meteorologist for their morning and noon news programs.
Paul graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in geography (with an
emphasis in meteorology). Paul is also a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and has earned the AMS Television
Seal of Approval.
Paul has won multiple Arizona AP Awards including runner up for Arizona "Anchor Of The
Year" and first place for "Climate Watch" in 2000. Paul's special, "The El Nino Factor", also won
an AP award in 1998. Paul produces regular TV specials on Arizona's summer monsoon, winter weather, drought, climate change
and other topics.
Paul loves hockey, golf, sailing, hiking, camping and playing guitar. Paul's charity work includes
the Salvation Army's Christmas Angel program. The program has collected over 150,000 toys for needy Tucson children in the
past 8 years.
Paul is married to the love of his life, Amber. They have a beautiful son, Luke.
